IP Editorial Policies for Authors
Manuscripts submitted for publication must comply with the following ethical considerations:
Informed Consent: Informed consent of the patients must be taken before they are considered for participation in the study. Patient identifying information, such as names, initials, hospitals numbers, or photographs should not be included in the written descriptions. Patient consent should be obtained in written and archived with the author.
Protection of Human Subjects and Animals in Research: When conduction experiments on Human Subjects, appropriate approval must have been obtained by the relevant ethics committees. All the procedures must be performed in accordance with the ethical standards of the responsible ethics committee both (Institutional and national) on human experimentation and the Helsinki Declaration of 1964 (as revised in 2008). When reporting experiments on animals, authors must follow the institutional and national guidelines for the care and use laboratory animals.
Conflict of Interest
All authors must disclose any financial and personal relationships with other people or organizations that could inappropriately influence (bias) their work. Examples of potential conflicts of interest include employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert testimony, patent applications/registrations, and grants or other funding.
Followings guidelines must be followed before submission of the manuscript:
The articles must represent original research material, should not have been published before and should not be under consideration of publication elsewhere. This, however, does not include previous publication in form of and abstract of as part of published literature (review of thesis). It is the duty of the author obtain the necessary permissions for extensive quotations, tables, illustrations or any other copyrighted material they are using in the paper before a paper can be considered for publication. Copyright of the article gets transferred to Innovative Publication, once the article has been accepted for publication. The author would be asked to sigh the “Copyright Transfer Form” before his/her article is considered for publication. Once the copyright transfer statement has been signed by the corresponding author, no change in authorship or in the order of the authors listed on the article would be accepted by Innovative Publication. Also by signing the above-mentioned form, the author reassigns the rings of co-publishing, or translation if considered necessary in future to the publisher. In the advent of occurrence of any dispute, the matter would be resolved within the jurisdiction of New Delhi Court.
While all care has been taken to provide accurate and correct information in accordance with the date of publication, neither the authors/editors nor the publishers takes any legal responsibility for any unintentional omission or error. The publisher makes no expressed or implied warranty with respect to the information contained herein. The published material cannot be photocopied for the following purposes: general distribution, promotion, new works or resale. If this is required, specific written permission requires to be obtained from the publisher. Exclusive right to reproduce and distribute the article in this journal have been protected by copyright. This also covers the rights to reproduce or distribute the article as well as the translation rights. No material published in this journal can be reproduced in digital format or stored in form of electronic databases. Video disks, etc.
Both the conflict of interests and financial disclosure needs to be handled well while conduction the research study. Disclosure of such relationships is also important in connection with all article submitted for publication. Both of these also been included in the copyright transfer form. Authors should give due acknowledgement to the individuals who provide writing or other assistance while conduction the research study and also disclose the funding source for the research study.
To qualify for authorship, each author should contribute substantially to the intellectual content of the work from inception to published article. Such contribution consists of: (1) Participating in the conception and design or analysis and interpretation of data; (2) Drafting the article or critically revising it; and (3) Approving the final version submitted, and approving any subsequent revisions. All three conditions must be met to justify authorship.
American Association of Medical Colleges Guidelines
In September of 2006, the ASBMR Council voted to adopt the AAMC "Principles for Protecting Integrity in the Conduct and Reporting of Clinical Trials." Please find a list of these guidelines at the AAMC website. Please read over the guidelines to ensure that your manuscript and study comply with these principles. We now require that you initial a line on the conflict of interest form stating that your study has complied with a prespecified analysis. Additionally, each manuscript must disclose, on the conflict of interest page, the role each author has played in conducting the study and preparation of the manuscript.
The Journal will not accept duplicate publication of scientific data. Manuscripts submitted to International Journal of current trends should not have been published/ accepted for publication or simultaneously submitted. The "possible" duplicate manuscript should be submitted with the original publication (s) and the authors should provide documentation/ statement to justify the originality of the newly submitted manuscript.
The Journal will accept original manuscripts that contain material that has not been reported elsewhere, except in the form of an abstract of not more than 250 words, or an alternative short communication. If any preliminary report other than an abstract has been published or submitted, copies must be submitted with the manuscript and this must be noted in the cover letter to the editor. Prior abstract presentations must be described in a footnote to the title. Initial submissions must be accompanied by the copyright assignment form, with original signatures of all authors.
As a condition for publication, cell lines, hybridomas, DNA clones, antibodies, biological reagents and animal models described in papers published in the Journal will be made available to scientists in non-commercial institutions for purposes of replicating the reported studies.
Peer Review Process and Editorial
Reviewers play a central role in scholarly publishing. Peer review helps validate research, establish a method by which it can be evaluated, and increase networking possibilities within research communities. Despite criticisms, peer review is still the only widely accepted method for research validation. Innovative Publication relies on the peer review process to uphold the quality and validity of individual articles and the journals that publish them.
Peer review has been a formal part of scientific communication since the first scientific journals appeared more than 300 years ago. The Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society is thought to be the first journal to formalize the peer review process.
Types of Submissions Accepted by IP
All types of submissions / papers should follow a standard format as described in the “Manuscript component” section.
Editorials: Usually provide commentary and analysis concerning an article in the issue of the Journal in which they appear. They may include figures and tables. They are always solicited. The editorials would be limited to 1200 words with up to 15 references.
Original Articles: Reports of original clinical and basic research of interest to the head and neck community are the primary material to be published as original articles. Randomly controlled trials intervention studies, studies of screening and diagnostic tests, outcome studies, cost effectiveness analysis, case-control series, and surveys with a reasonably high response rate. The text would be limited to 3200 words, with an abstract of 250-300 words, maximum of 8-10 tables and figures (total) and up to 45 references.
Reviews and Clinical Debates: Reviews and clinical debates may be solicited or proposed. Review articles would be invited by the editorial board comprising of a group or team with acknowledged research interest and outstanding experience in a particular area. They would cover a contemporary topic and would generally be wide-ranging overviews of a field of research. Proposed reviews/clinical debates must be approved by the Editor-in-Chief prior to submission. The reviews and clinical debates will be subject to the standard review process. Maximum length would be 3000 words with 6 tables and figures (total) and 55 references.
Case Reports / Case Study: The Journal encourages the submission of case reports that highlight practical diagnostic and/or management considerations. In general case reports should be limited to two printed page (text and figures). The format of these papers should follow that described in the “Preparation of Manuscript” section below. Identifying information within written descriptions, photographs, or pedigrees should not be given.
Letters to the Editor: The Journal accepts Letters to the Editor that raises some issues related to recently published articles (last 6 months) in the Journals of Innovative Publication. The letters should not exceed 400 words of text and 8-10 references. While not all “Letters to the Editor” will be published, those that are judged worthwhile will be forwarded to the authors of the articles in question or to selected experts in order to provide the opportunity for a response. Whenever possible, they will be published with the reply of the author of the published article. Letters to the Editor should be submitted to our online system at www.innovpub.org or sent by email to email@example.com
Title: Concise and informative. Titles are often used in information-retrieval systems. Avoid abbreviations and formulae where possible.
Author names and affiliations. Please clearly indicate the given name(s) and family name(s) of each author and check that all names are accurately spelled. Present the authors' affiliation addresses (where the actual work was done) below the names. Indicate all affiliations with a lowercase superscript letter immediately after the author's name and in front of the appropriate address. Provide the full postal address of each affiliation, the e-mail address of each author.
Corresponding author. Clearly indicate who will handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication, also post-publication. Ensure that phone/Mobile numbers are provided in addition to the e-mail address and the complete postal address. Contact details must be kept up to the corresponding author.
Present/permanent address. If an author has moved since the work described in the article was done, or was visiting at the time, a 'Present address' (or 'Permanent address') may be indicated as a footnote to that author's name. The address at which the author actually did the work must be retained as the main, affiliation address. Superscript Arabic numerals are used for such footnotes.
A structured abstract, by means of appropriate headings, should provide the context or background for the research and should state its purpose, basic procedures (selection of study subjects or laboratory animals, observational and analytical methods), main findings (giving specific effect sizes and their statistical significance, if possible), and principal conclusions. It should emphasize new and important aspects of the study or observations.
Abstract Headings. Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions
Immediately after the abstract, provide a maximum of 5-6 keywords, using American spelling and avoiding general and plural terms and multiple concepts (avoid, for example, 'and', 'of'). Be sparing with abbreviations: only abbreviations firmly established in the field may be eligible. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes.
Collate acknowledgements in a separate section at the end of the article before the references and do not, therefore, include them on the title page, as a footnote to the title or otherwise. List here those individuals who provided help during the research (e.g., providing language help, writing assistance or proof reading the article, etc.).
The authors deny any conflicts of interest related to this study.

One set of page proofs (as PDF files) will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author that authors can download the files themselves. Innovative Publication provides authors with PDF proofs which can be annotated; for this you will need to download Latest version of Adobe Reader available free from http://get.adobe.com/reader.
The Corresponding author, at no cost, will be mailed 1 copy of the issue only. The publisher and the society are not responsible for providing additional copies if the original is lost or misdirected.
Use of the Digital Object Identifier
The Digital Object Identifier (DOI) may be used to cite and link to electronic documents. The DOI consists of a unique alpha-numeric character string which is assigned to a document by the publisher upon the initial electronic publication. The assigned DOI never changes. Therefore, it is an ideal medium for citing a document, particularly 'Articles in press' because they have not yet received their full bibliographic information. Example of a correctly given DOI:
When we use a DOI to create links to documents on the web, the DOIs are guaranteed never to change.
